West Hallam war memorial stands outside St. Wilfrid's Church at the junction of St Wilfrids Road and The Village.
A sculpture of 2 soldiers with a Vickers Machine Gun in Italian marble stands on a Derbyshire Gritstone plinth upon which are panels with names and inscriptions.
The names on the centre front panel are of those who fell in WW1. Unusually, the other 7 main panels record the names of all those from the village who served in WW1, including the women.
The whole structure is on a three stepped base with a laurel wreath and two additional plaques, commemorating those who fell in WWll, placed upon the steps. The memorial is listed at grade II.
