    Died:
Wayland Turner, the sixteen year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Turner, passed away Saturday night about midnight at the St. Charles hospital in Aurora, following an accident which necessitated the amputation of his right leg.

The unfortunate lad left his uncles home in Taylorville several weeks ago on a trip through the Western States in search of employment. The last letter was written at Pikes Peak, Colo.

The accident happened Friday evening while Wayland and a companion were attempting to board a freight train at a junction six miles east of Aurora.

He was rushed to a Hospital and his relatives summoned to his bedside. He regained consciousness and was able to converse with them for a time. The shock and loss of blood proved too much for him and he passed away a few hours after the amputation.
